Eric came in an emergency and got my door working with a quick fix. Realizing we needed a new door, one was ordered. While the new door was on order, I had a few problems with the old door. Eric picked up the phone first call. He said he would be out later that day to do a survey of my recently installed , quite expensive door from a Big Box, and their referred "installer". The install was a mess, and the parts supplied from the big box were not for the size and wight of my heavily insulated door. Eric then said he would let me know what the cost would be to make it right.
Next morning I had a fair quote, and he was on his way.
He texted when he was on the way, and initially indicated about two hours for the install, however, as he dug in, it was clear it would take more time to do it right. It ended up about four hours, and i offered him some extra cash for that, which he politely declined, saying he quoted a price, and that is the way it goes.

All of the above are rare in this area, having moved recently from Florida, and with 25 years experience in the construction industry, I can attest that unfortunately is a rare find in these parts, so  if you are lucky enough to nab him with some free time to do your job, just do it, and for a fair price, no add ons, no haggling, no bait and switch, just old school ethics.

Contacted Eric on Wednesday evening and by 10:00 Friday morning my issue was resolved.  How bout that for service!!  Replaced both garage springs, installed new center bracket and put a new cog on my opener and a clean rope on my door release!😁.  Great communication and prompt arrival! One of my springs broke on my garage door. Eric came out the same day to check what he would need to fix the door and came back the next day and completed the job. He not only replaced the the spring that broke, but also the other spring and the track wheels. He secured the tracking and reassembled the pulley system (all of which were previously set up incorrectly). He was fast, efficient, and professional. I would highly recommend him if you ever need a garage door fixed!

Update:we recently had a run in with a car and our garage door. Since working with 4th generation before, we knew who to call. He came promptly to assess the damage and put in an order for a door to fit our atypical size opening. A couple days later, even though he had to wait until the afternoon for the door to be delivered, he still came out that day so we wouldn’t have to go another night without a door. I can’t begin to thank Eric for his work on my garage today. Called on Saturday and was at my house in a flash. Not only did he fix all my issues, he taught me what I did wrong trying to fix it, and I learned something . I’m thankful, and I would recommend him to anyone needing garage door repair. Fast, reliable, knows his craft, and doesn’t break your bank account. What a pleasant experience we had with 4th Generation Doors. Within hours of contacting the company, Eric accessed the problem had the new garage door opener installed.
I would definitely recommend this company over any in Tri-State area!  And this service call was in horrendous icy conditions!
